Brother Blake Sargent

"If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen"
1 Peter 4:11

Growing up immersed in church life, my story has been shaped by countless blessings and encounters with God’s wondrous grace and mercy. Like Timothy in Scripture, I was blessed with a praying mother and grandmother who believed in the ministry I was destined to grow into. They saw God’s hand on my life early and made sure I wasn’t just sitting in a pew—I was learning to serve.

The joy of music has flowed through my family long before I arrived. Evenings were spent gathered around the family piano, where songs were shared and hearts were lifted. Those musical nights—filled with laughter, love, and harmony—etched precious memories that we continue passing down to the grandkids. Some of my fondest memories still come from those magical moments around my grandmother’s piano, where the beauty of life was reflected in each note we played.

As I developed my own musical style, God opened doors. My mother, a gifted songwriter and pianist, poured her talent into me. With her as my teacher and mentor, the piano became an extension of my soul. Over time, I explored new instruments—viola, violin, voice—and uncovered even more layers of harmony. Before graduating high school, I joined a southern gospel quartet and earned recognition through orchestras and ensembles. Each opportunity became part of a larger journey, leading me closer to God's plan.

Faith took root more deeply when I accepted Christ as my personal Savior in high school. I began studying the Bible, seeking purpose, and serving in music ministry with new conviction. Teaching Sunday School became part of my calling, but I sensed God had more in store.

Through seasons of challenge and refinement, God continued to shape me. In January 2022, I answered the call to preach—and just one week later, delivered my first sermon on the radio in Rockmart, Georgia. Since that moment, ministry has taken new shape as I’ve shared the gospel in both song and sermon.

Today, God still opens doors. Whether preaching a few Sundays a month, leading worship with piano, organ, violin, or mentoring musicians and vocalists—I serve as the Spirit leads. Every note, every word, every opportunity is a reminder:

God has been good—and He’s not finished yet.

MUSIC MINISTRY

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;
teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and
hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
"
Colossians 3:16 (kjv)

Everyone has a special spiritual gift.  My wife and I love sharing ours with our church and in revivals.  From singing to simply playing a song to uplift our Lord and Saviour, we focus our music on tried and true scripture backed songs.

More about music Ministry...
Music is something that lifts our soul, knowing we are able worship and praise God completely. Music is something which has deep connections through my family and will continue to for year and lifetimes to come!  Following in the footsteps of my mother, I too am a songwriter. Composing and writing songs for several years, we enjoy sharing them through ministry opportunities. From piano and vocals to arranging music for sting musicians, we love finding time to share our gifts and talents as we collaborate ideas with others!  The foremost is sharing God’s gift with others, lead by the Spirit of God.

My wife and I have begun a new collaboration, while writing new songs based on scripture and God's encouragement.

Original Works:

Jesus Cares
Around my birthday in 2022, we lost my mom. In the weeks before, we were able to enjoy some special time together as we talked about songs which healed our hearts. This song was inspired by the phone call on Mother's Day, outlining her illness.  I walked in to the church and hit the altar.  My church family all stopped and we all prayed.
"you come inside, and try to hide, and hope that no one sees. You enter to the altar, and fall on bended knee..."

Good things in life - not yet released
Joint effort with my mom, Phyllis Kay Anderson, the piano part always kept me interested in this song! One of the songs she wrote in her younger years, this has been in our family since the 70's. Taking her work, adding a little more to reflect things of today, this song is already become a blessing as God is using it to encourage those around me.

Stand Up - not yet released
When God tells you to go and to do, He will provide a way. This song is something which was fun and brings a smile to my face in rehearsals.

Peace Album - not yet released
When God leads you, you know it is time to follow Him.  We are launching a soft instumental album later this year (2024) to help encourage and inspire others.
